Market Development Manager
GW Marketing Services is one of the Northeast’s most experienced automotive dealership M & A, Valuation, Franchise, and consulting services provider offering various collateral services such as business strategy and litigation both OEMs and dealer organizations. We have been in business for more than 42 years.
We are growing and are looking to hire a qualified entrepreneurial-minded Market Development Manager to be responsible for marketing the business across multiple platforms. This individual should be a motivated, detail-oriented marketer with keen professional skills. The candidate will work closely with the President.
This fully remote, part-time position would be roughly 10 hours per week and would be the perfect side-gig for an experienced marketing professional. Would also be open to hire a subcontractor and pay an established monthly package rate to encompass core responsibilities with a negotiable hourly rate for ad hoc projects.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DESIRED EXPERIENCE
Social Media Marketing: Develop content for multiple social media platforms including, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Google. Candidate should have a deep understanding of and several years of experience using social media for business, reporting on results, and interacting with our audience. Candidate should be familiar with the development of professional relationships through social media. Experience with content scheduling and reporting tools preferred.
Email Marketing: Have successful experience developing email marketing campaigns and accomplishing proper list management. Company typically sends 1-2 email campaigns per month and a quarterly newsletter. Experience with Constant Contact preferred. General experience with Microsoft Excel for purposes of list management required.
Content Development: Create content for social media, emails, newsletters, and website, including regular blog posts. Content typically surrounds automobile industry news as well as helpful financial information for our dealer audience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint are expected. Experience with adding website content preferred (Drupal).
Event and Association Coordination: Liaise with state and national automobile dealer association representatives and manage the processes for events, trade shows, advertising, member benefits, etc. Prior event or tradeshow booth coordination would be helpful.
Graphic Design: Design ads, flyers, mailers, social graphics, etc. Experience with and access to Adobe programs (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) much preferred, but extensive knowledge of creating these pieces in Canva or similar software is acceptable.
Business Acumen: Must be a motivated self-starter, able to quickly learn the intricacies of this multi-faceted automotive dealership mergers & acquisitions and franchise consulting business. Experience with and interest in the automobile industry would be extremely helpful.
Detail, Communication, and Development Skills: Must have several years of marketing experience, be organized, have excellent oral and written communication skills, content development skills, and be creative and detail-oriented. Fluent English (oral and written) is required.
Guidance and training will be offered by our President, current Market Development Manager, IT Specialist, Analyst, and other staff.
