The First Auto Shows of the Year

As you may be aware, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and the Detroit Auto Show were held last week.  Once the place for tech geeks, CES is now where automobile manufacturers and technology firms introduce the technology that could power the next generation of vehicles which I wrote about last week.  Here are some great summaries of the event not to be missed:

At the recent CES electronics show in Las Vegas, there were many auto related new product introductions.  Some from auto manufacturers and others from software vendors like Microsoft.  Surprised?  You shouldn't be.  With telematics and autonomous vehicles, we are right in the middle of a big convergence.  In fact, CES has turned into the first car show of the year.

Exciting automotive tech changes are afoot. According to Forbes, this year’s CES “hit a high water mark in terms of the scale and significance of car technology unveiled at the show as well as the attention it received.” Many of the automotive technology announcements focused on three trends: autonomous driving, personalization, and smart mobility.
